TangoCMS is a free and open source PHP Content Management System (CMS) and is part of the TangoCMS Project. Its ease of use and powerful feature set allows you to quickly and easily create and manage an entire website. TangoCMS is complies to W3C HTML strict standards.
With TangoCMS, you don’t need to worry about complicated code to create a complex or simple website, it will take care of that for you. All you need to do is the most important part, create and manage your content with ease.
TangoCMS offers many features to achieve this and help you manage your website, publish content and speed up your work flow for creating complex websites in the shortest time possible. A powerful media module allows you to display pictures, videos and audio files for your users to view.
The “TangoCMS Project” consists of multiple sub-projects –
- Zula Framework – a custom PHP5 MVC framework.
- Tangobox – a jQuery plugin which provides a “lightbox” type feature.
- TangoCMS -Â Modules and Themes for the Zula Framework that work together to form a content management system.
Requirements that TangoCMS needs in order for it to work correctly:
- PHP 5.2.0 or greater
- MySQL 4.1 or greater
- Apache 2+
TangoCMS is released under the terms of the GNU/GPL 2.1. Latest version available for download is TangoCMS, 2.5.5 “Kiwi”.
